Thanks to you, we have met the American Open Challenge on Global Giving! In the month of June, we raised $4260 from 67 donors. This achievement places us on the Global Giving website, which will help us to raise funds for our programs and services.
We appreciate your support in helping us to meet the Challenge! Your donations go directly to serving people with macular degeneration and their families.
Many thanks from all of us at the Macular Degeneration Partnership and Discovery Eye Foundation. |

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a progressive eye condition affecting as many as 15 million Americans,

with 200,000 new cases each year. AMD causes severe vision loss because it attacks the macula of the eye, where our sharpest central vision occurs. It gets in the way of reading, driving, identifying faces, watching television, safely navigating stairs and performing other daily tasks. AMD never causes complete blindness, but it robs the individual of all but the outermost, peripheral vision, leaving only dim images or holes at the center of vision. |
