- Age Related Macular Degeneration Project - The Age-Related Macular Degeneration Project at UAB is research and public education with the goal of developing effective treatments for age-related macular degeneration (ARMD).
- Aging Eye Times - Developed by a group of ophthalmologists, this site contains excellent information about vision and the leading eye problems of AMD, glaucoma, cataracts, dry eyes and diabetic retinopathy.
- AMD Alliance International - This organization is particularly helpful in directing you to resources in English, Spanish, German, French and Italian.
- American Academy of Ophthalmology - This professional site also provides eye health information for consumers.
- American Academy of Optometry - Eye information and links related to optometry.
- American Optometric Association - Information about vision, optometrists and low vision.
- Macular Degeneration Foundation - A non-profit organization, founded by an AMD patient, was created to inform patients and support research.
- Macular Disease Society (UK) - The Macular Disease Society aims to build confidence and independence for those with central vision impairment. They provide information and practical support for visually impaired people, their families and those who care for them.
- MD Support - Online support group (MDLIST) and International MD Support Group (IMDSG). Information on Stargardts and Myopic Degeneration.
- National Eye Institute - A central resource for information about eye disease, research and clinical trials.
