Regeneron Pharmaceuticals is recruiting for a Phase III clinical trial that will assess the safety and tolerability of their experimental drug for wet macular degeneration. This one year study will involve 1200 patients in the U.S. and Canada.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be over age 50 and diagnosed with wet macular degeneration, with vision of 20/40 or worse in the study eye. The criteria of the study mean that anyone having had any other anti-angiogenic treatment (Avastin, Macugen, Lucentis) would not be eligible.
