ARVO Research Report

Artificial Vision

Thousands of eye researchers just met for the annual Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) conference.  The amount of research on AMD is staggering and we'll present it in sections.  The first covers efforts to restore vision through implant of electrodes and other devices.

Healthy Vision Month 2008

Thousands of children suffer permanent, senseless vision loss every year by playing sports without protecting their eyes. As parents and grandparents, you can change this statistic. Make sure your young athlete gears up with the right protective eyewear!

Older American's Month

Each May, the President of the United States proclaims "Older American's Month".  By 2006, 12% of the U.S. population was 65 or older.  That's expected to increase to 21% by the year 2050.
